  • Watch out for query strings from product filtering causing many duplicate versions of the same page. While product filtering is good, you must ensure search engines don’t index the duplicate pages. This can be done by blocking faceted pages via the robots.txt file and managing parameter handling in Search Console.

Encourage product reviews

Encouraging users to leave a review is beneficial because future visitors are more likely to make a purchase because of the previous positive review’s influence. This is social proof in action.

Optimise your site for mobile

Websites that aren’t mobile optimised can be penalised greatly in search rankings. Not only are non-mobile friendly sites unattractive and difficult to use for mobile users, they also suffer from slow site speed. Write unique content for all pages

Another best practice is to add internal links that point to other relevant pages; this helps the user stay on the site for longer.
